Plymstock Albion Oaks 30 : Tavistock 25
Plymstock Albion Oaks
20 : Tavistock 15
GAME 1
Another two tough games for Tavistock U8s unfolded as they took on
Plymstock Albion Oaks away lasrt sunday. A fiercely fought battle for
territory ensued from the off with both sides showing discipline in
defence and creativity in attack. Every inch of gained ground was hard
fought for. Tavi endeavouring to some fast hands and great passing play
to create space for try scoring, whilst PLymstock utilised close and
fast support work to create their tries. Two differing styles used to
good effect in a very evenly matched game. Tavi losing out in the dying
seconds of the game to some good defensive work by the home team
causing the Tavi attack to go into touch, leaving the scoreline 6-5 in
Plymstock's favour. Tavistock tries coming from sidestepping winger
Henry Varndell-Dawes(3), James WHite being rewarded for his sterling
support work with a try and Tom Gardener weaving his way through for
the fifth.
GAME 2
The second game carried on in the same vein as the first with both
teams probing and testing the other, with Plymstock just pipping Tavi a
second time. Second game Tavistock tries came from Louis Peake, Harry
Edwards and Harry Richardson. A great effort from the whole Tavi team
with all players working their socks off to provide two tag games that
exhausted the crowd as well as the players.
