Criditon 25 : Tavistock 75
Tavistock are starting to hit their stride now with a comfortable win
over Crediton this week. This is the first game of the season for
Crediton and the first time a lot of their team would have palyed in a
competitive match, but let that not take anything away from an
excellent performance by the Tavistock team. There were some great runs
from Morgan and Seamus, creating try opportunities which were well
taken by Tom and Lachlan. Luke and John both racked up their opening
tries of the season and if they continue to get stuck in as they did
this week then they will continue to do well. The speed merchants of
Freddie and Jude racked up 5 tries between them and man of the match
Jason Blake got the team off to a flying start by scoring the first 4
tries for Tavy with some impressive attacking runs straight into the
heart of the Crediton defence. Olly, Cian and Joe all put in solid
performances with Joe just missing out on a try late in the game. The
most impressive display of the day had to be from the return of Theo
Jenkins to the team. He ran his heart out and was outstanding in his
tackling throughout the whole game. A comfortable win for Tavy but with
the team expecting a tougher challenge against Okehampton next week.
